Section 508 Compliance

Inquisite was one of the first survey software companies to enable the creation of surveys compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, making surveys accessible for the visually impaired. To access surveys created with Inquisite Survey, visually impaired respondents rely on a voice reader to translate survey questions. Inquisite helps customers reach these respondents through several product features. The Survey Administrator can take advantage of compliance settings through an "accessibility properties" dialog in the survey builder. These changes provide greater compatibility with voice-assisted technology. Most of the improvements are automatic when you publish a survey. They require no special action from the survey author. In addition, the Survey Builder now includes a Fieldset option to the existing Web Accessibility dialog. It is important to note, however, that these settings are optional because they restrict some of the product's advanced features, such as the ability to place question text anywhere on the page relative to the answer choices, question text wrapping, and overlapping question objects.
